Review:
After the first album when they sounded a little much like Pearl Jam, I just loved their second album Purple. Great show with both represented.

Not only can I not remember the band, I can’t even remember the venue. Some internet sleuthing shows the venue was likely a pizza place in Tenleytown that closed in 1998.

I think I’d purchased the ticket for this show before I bought the one for Woodstock ’94. It was mostly the same show, but still good. I’d missed Collective Soul at Woodstock ’94, and really enjoyed them.

After the first show at The Birchmere, of course I returned for a second. I definitely paid closer attention to opening act Shannon Worrell, since it was pointed out Dave appears on her CD. For years I had a bootleg recording of the show, but then
years later, the show was officially released (I was delighted to get a shirt as well as the CD).

The first time I saw emmet swimming at my Nick’s haunt, and the first time I saw Modern Yesterday (important in the Fairfax band ecosystem).

Sheryl’s one and only show at the original 9:30 Club, 4 days after Woodstock ’94. I’d see her open for Eagles a month later.

Wouldn’t it be nice if I’d already done a long review with pictures?

The next year they released a two disc compilation; basically one song from each artist. I wanted the whole shows from each one, and that didn’t take long since most of the show was broadcast live on pay-per-view.
