After a signing tour in 1994, this was the first time I saw Neil read. It was a tour to promote Stardust, so he read some, then signed for a very long time.

With the growing popularity of Dave Matthews Band, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds hadn’t toured much in the previous years, but this tour celebrated their CD release of Live at Luther College, which came out the day of this show. We got a lot of Before These Crowded Streets songs, which was great.

As the flyer stated, “we will be doing our recording for our new live CD, please come and be heard!” I could not resist that, so we went and we’re somewhere on Earplugs 50ยข. Not all of it, as they also recorded the next night at Alley Katz in Richmond and used that too.
