Review:
Farm Aid returned to Nissan Pavilion for the second year in a row. No Dave Matthews Band this year, but Barenaked Ladies returned, as well as the founders. Plus this year we stuck around long enough to see Willie!

Review:
We’d seen Sting the previous year at Constitution Hall, and thought we’d see him again. Silly us, it was the same setlist minus “My One And Only Love”. At least he brought Cheb Mami with him to duet on “Desert Rose”.

Review:
The show was ok. But it will forever be in my mind about how awful parking at Nissan Pavilion can be, as they let anyone in to tailgate and ran out of places to park. So whren we tried to leave early, we discovered Melanie’s Jeep was blocked in by other cars. We tried to move the fence we were against with no luck, and had to wait long after the encore to get out. I never stay through the encore there anymore. This was also the first streamed show I went to – it was at Radio Margaritaville in Real Audio.

Review:
The first time Farm Aid happened in the DC area, and a great lineup. A very long day though, and we skipped Willie Nelson. The recording is a whole thing rather than the usual artist by artist because of the short sets. It’s mostly from my recording of CMT that day, but someone had the whole Dave Matthews Band set. Also, three songs appeared on Farm Aid: Volume One: Live.

Review:
An actual review from after the show: “My first Moodies show, and not my last. The band was in fine form and the Prince William Symphony Orchestra was excellent. Justin didn’t seem bored to me, especially during I’m Just A Singer. I enjoyed the new songs, Haunted in particular. I’ve waited a long time to see I Know You’re Out There Somewhere and Your Wildest Dreams, and I wasn’t disappointed. A great show. ”

Review:
This was the year Dave Matthews Band started their fan club, Warehouse. And as I soon discovered, they were serious about saving good seats for members, as we got second row pit for this show. Great show, with a nice cover of “Angel From Montgomery”.
