Review:
Hard to remember why Spin Doctors had top billing here, but I liked all three bands fine. Don’t recall Vinx at all.

I know I enjoyed the show, but what I remember most was standing next to the speaker on the right side and feeling a pain in my ear. I went to the bathroom and stuffed some toilet paper in my ears and finished watching the show from up at the bar, then the next day I bought some foam earplugs. I have never gone to a show since without wearing earplugs, and still have pretty good hearing.

I finally made it to emmet swimming’s home base for an acoustic show by Eric & Todd.

Their “Hell Freezes Over” tour was infamous for breaking the $100 concert ticket, but the brouhaha over that failed to communicate what a great, long show it was (in addition to seeing Sheryl Crow again, always good). In addition to their greatest hits (and some fine new ones), the second set included an acoustic portion and the solo hits by Glenn Frey, Don Henley & Joe Walsh. Of vast amusement to me and Eric, we were in the second row of the upper balcony at RFK, and this group of drunk dudes were seated in front of us, and didn’t arrive until 4 songs in. They spent the whole show calling out for “Hotel California”, which they never saw since it was played first.
