Jill wanted to see Counting Crows and they were in fine form (unless you wanted Adam singing on the beat).

Rush – again? Well yeah, if they’re driving distance away, I’m there.
According to Rush: Wandering the Face of the Earth, Geddy said “Hello! Good evening, Baltimore. Home of the Orioles… [The crowd booed]. You don’t like them anymore?”

We had enjoyed Angie Aparo so much earlier in the year, of course we came back to see him, and discovered Jim Boggia, someone we’d go on to become big fans of.

emmet swimming with Georgia Avenue at IOTA Club & Cafe, Arlington, VA, USA
Review:
From the emmet swimming concert archives:
Great set at Iota Saturday. Georgia Avenue was good, but I was waiting to see Erik and Todd play together (it’s only been six years since I’ve seen an acoustic show of theirs). In contrast to Dana’s report from the Iota show in March, the crowd seemed very pro emmet – not much talking, and a lot of singing along. “So Lonely” was a crowd request, and went over well. “All Fun And Games” was a song (cover?) that Erik and Todd used to do before Erik joined emmet. When I talked to Todd, he wasn’t sure about new dates for emmet or Quitter, but did hint that you might want to keep New Year’s Eve free.
