Review:
I think I’d purchased the ticket for this show before I bought the one for Woodstock ’94. It was mostly the same show, but still good. I’d missed Collective Soul at Woodstock ’94, and really enjoyed them.

After the first show at The Birchmere, of course I returned for a second. I definitely paid closer attention to opening act Shannon Worrell, since it was pointed out Dave appears on her CD. For years I had a bootleg recording of the show, but then
years later, the show was officially released (I was delighted to get a shirt as well as the CD).

The first time I saw emmet swimming at my Nick’s haunt, and the first time I saw Modern Yesterday (important in the Fairfax band ecosystem).

Sheryl’s one and only show at the original 9:30 Club, 4 days after Woodstock ’94. I’d see her open for Eagles a month later.

Wouldn’t it be nice if I’d already done a long review with pictures?

The next year they released a two disc compilation; basically one song from each artist. I wanted the whole shows from each one, and that didn’t take long since most of the show was broadcast live on pay-per-view.

By this time Eric and I had purchase Woodstock ’94 tickets, but we already had Nine Inch Nails tickets so saw 2 shows in a row by them. According to the NIN Wiki, this was the live debut of “Burn”. This is the only time I saw Marilyn Manson and wasn’t a big fan.
My first (and so far only) Lollapalooza experience. Green Day was just getting big so they were fun, and Beastie Boys and The Smashing Pumpkins definitely earned their headliner status.
