An actual review from after the show: “My first Moodies show, and not my last. The band was in fine form and the Prince William Symphony Orchestra was excellent. Justin didn’t seem bored to me, especially during I’m Just A Singer. I enjoyed the new songs, Haunted in particular. I’ve waited a long time to see I Know You’re Out There Somewhere and Your Wildest Dreams, and I wasn’t disappointed. A great show. ”
The Pink Floyd show I saw in 1994 was after Roger’s departure, so I was eager to see his version of songs. The first set was all Pink Floyd songs, starting with 6 songs from The Wall, quite a treat for anyone who watched that movie in college. The second set did include some of his solo songs, but I quite like them as well.
This was the year Dave Matthews Band started their fan club, Warehouse. And as I soon discovered, they were serious about saving good seats for members, as we got second row pit for this show. Great show, with a nice cover of “Angel From Montgomery”.
The flyer promised an “Acoustic in-store performance at 6:00pm” to celebrate the release of Earplugs 50ยข and that’s what we got.
Review
First every concert doubleheader, as we returned to Fairfax that night. Nice seeing a full set from these guys after a short set at the HFStival. Plus by this point I had all their albums and loved their power pop.

Pat McGee Band was a must after seeing them earlier in the summer. My sister liked Eddie From Ohio and had given me a CD, but I found it hard to get into. Live, I was sold instantly.

My first Herndon Festival, and so much fun. Food and beer verndors, and great music. Gaelic Storm was the first Celtic/Irish band I saw, and riding high off their appearance in Titanic.
