The second night included 3 Led Zeppelin classics we hadn’t got the first night. No notes.
After seeing two nights of Pink Floyd, I had no trouble signing up for two nights for the voice and guitar of Led Zeppelin. After their successful MTV reunion, they took it on the road, and it was everything a Led Zep fan like me wanted. Extra bonus for including a Coverdale\Page song and a solo Plant song.

I never stopped loving Sheryl Crow, but this was the first show in which the crowd really grew. This was the first time I saw her after she did MTV Unplugged, and she was doing a very different version of “All I Wanna Do”.

I wish I could remember these Excentrics shows more. But it was usually after work with a pitcher of beer, so…

Flesh was the younger brothers of Nuno and Gary from Extreme, so this show was all family. If there is such a thing as my least favorite Extreme album, Waiting For The Punchline would be it. As with lots of other bands at the time, they tried to change their style to meet the market (still some great songs, and “Hip Today” is a savage take on the situation). Still, the show was an excellent summary of their career thus far.

Don’t remember the show or the opener, though Bovox Clown is a great band name.

Jay Nedry, owner of Jaxx, had his own band, the Road Ducks. They were fine, but it was clear why he was an owner and not a musician for money.
